Extended version of 5th Album • CD • 2000
Travelogue II was released in December 2000 and is an extended re-release of the Travelogue album from 1994. The two final tracks of that original CD were replaced with four tracks from a never released sixth album, amounting to about 30 minutes of new material in total. Like most of the tracks on the original album, the new songs also feature guest musicians, notably Rodrigo González of German punkpop trio Die Ärzte - he contributed bass guitar and some cool samples to two of the tracks. The front cover is a drawing by the late legendary French comic strip artist Jean Giraud AKA Moebius - one of the rare occasions where he agreed to the use of one of his drawings by another artist. It originally appeared in the colour edition of "The Airtight Garage Of Jerry Cornelius". Travelogue II was produced and distributed in the United States by Soleilmoon Recordings, who originally started out as a cassette label and have been active in the Underground and Industrial Music scene since 1987. They are home for many of The Legendary Pink Dots' recordings, amongst many fine others from the likes of Merzbow or Muslimgauze or Coil. The CD has been out of print for many years now, but a few copies are still available on Bandcamp, as well as wav or flac files in lossless quality. |
