Artefacts is the sixth album by DARK STAR. It was released in January 2025 and contains six tracks, all recorded around or after the release of Travelogue; four of these tracks were originally meant to be part of the unreleased follow-up album to Travelogue. (The other four tracks from that follow-up album were released on Travelogue II.)

Various friends of Dark Star contributed to the album:

"Eleven" features Yaxi Highrizer of Alien Sex Fiend on guitar.

"Walking In Patterns" features Technogod as guest musicians on bass, synths and samplers. Their master of studio wizardry Maurizio Liguori also handled the mixing and original mastering for all tracks.

For the final track of the album, originally an instrumental track, Dark Star asked Edward Ka-Spel of The Legendary Pink Dots for a spoken word contribution and he recorded a wonderful vocal track for it in late 2023 and called it "Polyphemus".

For now no physical versions of the album are planned.
